Mr. Viking and I are slowly creating our homemade product stash. I prefer homemade products because I want to know where our products come from and what is in those products especially when it comes to the kids. Here is a great DIY Boo Boo Balm to keep on hand. I keep a jar of this both at the apartment and up at the Cabin. This cream is amazing because of all the benefits of the ingredients. Coconut oil is moisturizing and promotes healing. The essential oils will help support the various systems of the body. Almond oil reduces inflammation and finally witch hazel is a natural astringent that helps clean the area.Boo Boo Balm | Homemade | DIY | Essential Oils | Natural

The three essential oils included in this recipe are lavender, melaleuca and lemon. All three of these oils I always have on hand because they are the ones I use all the time, literally everyday. I use Lavender to help us relax, get better sleep and for more. Why because I believe this one little oil can change  your entire life. It is considered the swiss army knife of essential oils. Lavender can help with tons of issues such as relaxation, bumps, bruises and burns, headaches and more. Matter of fact the other day I was cooking and burnt my fingers pretty bad (blistered bad) and I have applied this Boo Boo Balm everyday and it helped with the stinging and burning and the healing process. Melaleuca, also known as Tea Tree Oil, is another one of my favorite oils. Much like Lavender it can be used for many uses. A full post of my favorite uses will be coming soon, but I love to use it for bumps, scratches, when the kids are sick and to clean with. Lemon… who doesn’t love the smell of lemons! They smell so bright and clean. This is definitely one oil I use everyday. I use it to soak labels off of jars to clean with and much more. The combo of these three help your sores, bruises and more heal much better plus it smells amazing.
