Peppermint Sugar Scrub
Ever since I ran across the below infographic I have become a lot more careful with not only what I put into my body but what I put onto my body as well. The fact that our skin is the largest organ of our body and that it absorbs 60% of what we put on it and finally that it only takes 26 seconds for whatever we use to enter the bloodstream were all reality checks for infographic-skin-finalme.

With this new knowledge in hand I am on a mission to switch my entire beauty regiment and all my beauty products to all natural products and when possible homemade. I’m working on trying new products and I am super excited about this adventure. I have fallen in love with all scrubs. I used to love this brown sugar scrub I got from Sephora but at $65.00 for a jar it was expensive. Once you create these products you will never go back. Not to mention this scrub makes an incredible gift.

Vanilla is probably my all time favorite smell. I love it! It is amazing and every time I smell it I just feel the warmth radiating through my body. Also it just smells yummy! Peppermint is perfect for this time of year. The holidays are quickly approaching and the smell and reminder of Peppermint will surround us. The Peppermint essential oil in this recipe will help support many body systems including the nervous, digestive and respiratory systems. The aroma of peppermint is stimulating as well.

To store this fabulous scrub, get a small wide mouth jar so you can easily access all of your scrub or amber glass jars that are made for cosmetic products. I love using these from Amazon, Amber 2 Oz Glass Jar Black Lid – Pack of 6.
